Russellville Regional Leadership Academy Class 38 Unveils Captivating Eclipse Mural Downtown
The Russellville Regional Leadership Academy Class 38 is proud to announce the completion and unveiling of a stunning eclipse mural in downtown Russellville by the Depot Building. This initiative is a testament to their dedication to preserving local history and fostering community pride.
Crafted by the talented artist Daniel Freeman, the mural commemorates Russellville's distinction as one of the Top-10 Locations for the upcoming April 8th, 2024 Total Solar Eclipse. With a total eclipse duration of an impressive 4 minutes and 11 seconds, Russellville stands as the premier viewing location for this celestial event.
The eclipse mural serves as a visual reminder of our town's unique heritage and the excitement surrounding the once-in-a-lifetime event.
In addition to the eclipse mural, the Russellville Regional Leadership Academy Class 38 is dedicated to preserving our local history and enhancing community pride. The Russellville Regional Leadership Academy mission is to contribute to the renovation of the Latimore Tourist Home, an invaluable piece of Russellville's past listed in the National Register of Historic Places. They aim to install a fence around the Latimore House to protect its historical significance and ensure its long-lasting presence in the community.
They extend their heartfelt gratitude to our generous sponsors whose support made this project possible:
